Demographic TransitionCote d'Ivoire is in stage 2. This is because there is a high natural rate of increase caused by high birth rate and significantly less death rates. Despite the fact that there is a high percentage of infant mortality, it simply cannot be stage one as the fluctuation of death/birth rates are not near the same.
